Not sure if you heard, but for the past five years or so, I've been entering the lottery for Kidsfest at the Toronto Fringe Festival. This year, holy smokes, my number won! That means - in the first two weeks of July 2020 I'll be putting on seven shows of Project Cat's Away: The Musical. It's gonna be awesome, I truly hope you'll come check it out.
This year, holy smokes, my number won!
Already, I have some tremendous support including a fantastic co-producer, a wonderful hubby and mentorship from some super talented people.
But, the truth is, I'm in WAY over my head and don't know what the heck I'm doing. And that is the best. It's time to grow. It's time to stretch. It's time to have a blast developing creative ideas, and cry about little technical things, and further develop amazing relationships... and all the other cool and terrible and awesome and daunting stuff - stuff I don't even know enough about to be worried about it yet!
And I'm gonna share little bits and bops from the journey every Friday, here, on my blog.
I'd love to have you along for the ride.
In fact, this is my first bit... or is it a bop? It's is my very first hard thing, that's for sure, I'm creating a subscription list. I've had an account with MailChimp for a couple months now, and every time I log in and try to understand how to send out a blog post or newsletter I seem to curl up in a ball
and close my laptop lid, or fall right asleep to the monotone step-by-step youtube tutorials from people who know how to do all the things. Guys, I do not like technical things (I know, I'm a tech teacher, I know, I know). But, I don't. Learning tech stuff sucks. But, it's time to suck it up, buttercup. So I'm trying this out.
Join me - hear about somebody being dumb, taking some risks, and learning new things and in July, come on out and see the final result! So - sign up here, and hang out with Mee!
(I hope this works, fingers crossed...)
